88% LOWER PLATFORM COSTS

87% FEWER NAVIGATION CHOICES

60% less purchase friction

The original experience created friction at every level: discovery was overloaded, stock handling was manual, purchasing depended on email based back and forth, and enabling   e-commerce through the previous platform would have been significantly more expensive.

I simplified the structure to 5 primary paths, surfaced Catalog immediately, improved filtering and product access, and transformed the site into a full WooCommerce storefront with inventory control, cart, and checkout, while also reducing long term platform costs by 88%.

DESIGN THINKING APPROACH

I framed the project as both a UX challenge and a business decision, improving the buying experience while identifying a more scalable, lower cost way to support e-commerce.

The focus was to simplify discovery, reduce friction, and align the site with what users actually came to do: find books quickly and buy them with less effort.

STRATEGIC IMPLEMENTATION

The final solution had to improve usability, support online sales, and make the platform strategy financially smarter.

I rebuilt the site around clearer navigation, better product access, inventory control, and direct checkout in WooCommerce, all while moving the project to a more flexible setup that reduced long term platform costs by 88%.

Stronger product discovery

Featured titles are surfaced earlier to make browsing feel more immediate, curated, and oriented to conversion.

Lower friction purchase flow

A structured cart and checkout experience replaces manual ordering with a faster, clearer path to purchase.

Clearer first interaction

A more focused landing experience that directs users into the catalog faster and with less hesitation.

Simplified book exploration

A cleaner catalog structure helps users find relevant books faster through clearer filtering and a more direct browsing flow.
